I would say Physical.....It's gotta to the point where all they look at when you walk in the door is how you dress, are you conforming to all appearances...?? Is your bookbag new enough, or bible? Is your dress long enough. ?? Do you have any facial hair? If so, cut it off.....Ugh...yes physical....

Are Jw's spiritually or physically minded people?
by Honesty insince 99.9% of all jw's do not claim to have the holy spirit within them in what ways can they be spiritual people?.
a examination of 1 cor 2:10-15 raises some questions about jwism:.
1 cor 2:10-15 now god has revealed them to us by the spirit, for the spirit searches everything, even the deep things of god.

Hello friends...Jake99....I think the sword coming out of Jesus' mouth would mean:
Is. 11: 4 And with righteousness he must judge the lowly ones, and with uprightness he must give reproof in behalf of the meek ones of the earth . And he must strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the spirit of his lips he will put the wicked one to death.
So it will evidently be the things he speaks that destroy...I don't believe he IS the sword.

Does God make Mistakes or Bad Decisions?
by gumby ingenesis 6:5-7, 8:21. god decides to send a great flood to kill all humans, save noah and his family, because man's heart is evil.
"and god saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.... and the lord said, i will destroy man whom i have created from the face of the earth.".
later, after the flood waters recede, god promises never to do it again because man's heart is evil.

Funny, I was just discussing this today with another JWDB member...We are thinking (at least me) are thinking that God is able to make decisions that are not the way he would have done them back then and improve on them. He can regret a decision..and improve with age just like us and make better decisions as time goes by. But still he's much higher than us. But still can learn and grow...like us.... That's what I've been thinking..

Does the new "Bible Teach" book mention the "Faithful and Discreet Slave?"
by truthseeker indoes anyone know if this new publication teaches the "faithful and discreet slave doctrine" and if so, does it pertain only to jehovah's witnesses?
-
Star Moore
Yes, the word organization, faithful and discreet slave, Wt society, Kingdom Hall, disfellowshipping, Obeying the elders, governing body...all GONE. Maybe the so called apostates are getting to them so they want to wait until they are very indoctrinated before hitting them with the dictatorship ideas..

Judgement or what
by encourager incan anyone give some insight - i've been doing a bible study at my home with two friends and we were looking at the resurrection and judgement.
i was told that people who have already died will not be raised for judgement as they have already been judged and thats the end of it... but we then read the gospels and found jesus saying that at the judgement it would be more bearable for the people of sodom than those from the towns which rejected jesus's ministry.
one of my friends is an elder at my local kingdom hall and he's confused as well.

Hello and Welcome..
Some who are dead are in the "Everlasting fire" (Destruction) because God has deemed them as committed their sins unforgivable...Gehhena
Some unrighteous will get a ressurection and be in a judgement period to prove themselves as they didn't lead a `righteous life. Sheol or Hades
Some are righteous and ressurected and automatically are in the book of life. Sheol or Hades.
That's what the bible seems to say to me....anyways...
Also a note to ChristopherDavid...No, not everyone will embrace our Lord...

do you think the end is near?
by drew sagan ini will say that the "evidence" for a drastic change in mankinds history (end of the world, the great day of god the almighty, what ever you want to call it) seems likely when doing a survey of where mankind is a the current point in time.
nuclear weapons, wars, technology, globalization, and ecological destruction all seem to point towards a place that mankind has never been before.
mankind is unquestionably in a position differant from any point in human history.

I have studied prophesy alot in Daniel and prophets..Ezekiel and Revelation as well as gospels and Pauls writing..and I hate to be the one who goes against the grain, but I believe we are in the Great Tribulation, hour of judgement, hour of test, and the End is indeed near...

To Those Who Still Go To Meetings, Do You Sense Anything Different?
by minimus inare people excited by anything in the organization?
are they tired?
mostly missing?
-
Star Moore
I do agree with you all...the spirit, luster, is gone...nothing left but empty shells, mostly. A few are still excited about it..but most just waiting for the end..and following obediently hoping for the reward.
